Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Square Root Symbols ("we," "us," "this site") operates squarerootsymbols.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we don't collect

There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms that store information on our servers. The equation writer and copy buttons run entirely in your browser — the text you type or copy is never sent to us or stored anywhere. If you email us from thecontact page, we only see what you choose to send in that email.

2. Local storage & clipboard

This site saves two things in your browser's local storage: your light/dark mode preference, and — if you've been shown the cookie banner — whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so you're not asked again on your next visit. Both stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere. Copy buttons use your browser's Clipboard API only when you click them, to copy a symbol or expression to your device's clipboard; the site does not read your clipboard or monitor what you paste elsewhere.

3. Cookies

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Where analytics are enabled (see below), we honor your consent choice: if you're browsing from the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or Brazil, analytics cookies are not set until you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and nothing is set if you decline. Other third-party services we use may set their own cookies or similar technologies in your browser, subject to their own policies.

4. Analytics

We may use a privacy-conscious analytics service, such as Google Analytics, to understand aggregate usage — which pages are visited, approximate location by country/region, device and browser type, and how visitors arrived at the site. This data is used in aggregate to improve the site and is not used to identify you personally. Where analytics are active, you can opt out using a tracker-blocking extension, or Google'sAnalytics opt-out browser add-on (we don't currently detect the browser's Do Not Track setting). If you accepted the cookie banner and want to withdraw consent, use the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer to reopen the banner and decline — no need to clear your browser data.

5. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD)

If you're located in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or Brazil, you have rights over your personal data under the GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, or Brazil's LGPD — including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. Since this site doesn't collect personal data beyond aggregate analytics — no accounts, no forms that store data — most of these rights won't have anything to act on, but you're welcome to emailcontactinfinityemail@gmail.com with any request. Where Google Analytics is active, data about your visit may be transferred to and processed in the United States; Google's own privacy policy describes the safeguards it applies to these transfers. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (in Brazil, the ANPD) if you believe your rights have been violated.

6. Advertising

We may show ads through third-party networks, such as Google AdSense, to help keep this site free. These networks may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. We don't control how third-party ad networks use this data — their own privacy policies apply. You can review and adjust ad personalization atGoogle Ads Settingsor opt out of participating networks generally ataboutads.info/choices.

7. Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information for security and reliability — such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. These logs are used only to operate and protect the site, not to identify individual visitors.

8. Third-party links

Pages on this site may link to third-party resources (for example, operating system documentation referenced in our typing guide). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of external sites — check their own policies before sharing information with them.

9. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes to the site or applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
